Senior DS Engineer

What you'll do

• Conduct end-to-end testing of fiber optic cables using OTDR, power meters, and other specialized tools.
• Provide technical expertise for the design, implementation, and sustainment of wired network functionality.
• Lead small implementation teams and manage specific work scopes at assigned site locations.
• Coordinate with government points of contact to manage project logistics, including access, personnel, and equipment.
• Review and coach less experienced team members to ensure accurate production submissions and quality assurance.
• Update network as-built documentation and records based on splicing and testing results.
• Provide technical recommendations for distribution systems design (ISP/OSP) to program and operation teams.
• Develop technical project plans, proposals, reports, and administrative task order documentation.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess an active Secret security clearance.
• Must have a BA/BS degree.
• Must have 5+ years of experience in DS Engineering, preferably in a DOW environment on IT upgrade projects.
• Must possess skills in cabling, network infrastructures, network systems, and wireless networks.
• Must be proficient in fiber testing using OTDR and power meters.
• Must be familiar with distribution systems (ISP/OSP) design and implementation documentation.
• Ability to work in a virtual teaming environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
