What you'll do

Establish and deploy global engineering standards for biologics drug substance and cell and gene therapy manufacturing.
Provide technical leadership for capital investments, including new facility builds and technology platform deployments.
Oversee front-end engineering, site planning, and manufacturing capability assessments for the strategic investment portfolio.
Drive technical decision-making to ensure project deliverables meet safety, quality, compliance, and operability requirements.
Coordinate technical inputs from cross-functional teams, external partners, and vendors to resolve complex issues.
Develop and share engineering best practices and lessons learned across different regions and manufacturing sites.
Mentor and coach engineers to build technical bench strength and ensure consistent execution of engineering playbooks.
Manage the integration of engineering decisions with corporate manufacturing strategies and regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a relevant technical discipline is required.
An advanced degree is preferred where relevant.
Typically 15+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, capital projects, technical operations, or regulated manufacturing are required.
Demonstrated capability in biologics drug substance and cell and gene therapy process engineering strategy and project delivery is required.
Experience supporting viral vector, mRNA, sterile biologics, or similar biopharmaceutical environments is preferred.
Ability to work across global functions, manufacturing sites, and with external engineering partners is required.
Strong communication, risk management, technical judgment, and stakeholder engagement skills are required.
Leadership experience in mentoring, coaching, and managing high-performing technical teams is required.
