Senior Director, Core Infrastructure Engineering, OCI Virtual Networking

What you'll do

• Lead multiple engineering teams responsible for Tier-0 authentication, authorization, and virtual networking services.
• Define the technical strategy and roadmap for critical OCI infrastructure services with Product Management.
• Drive the architecture, development, and operation of highly available, secure, and scalable distributed systems.
• Establish engineering best practices to improve service reliability, operational excellence, security, and performance.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering managers and senior engineers to build a high-performing culture.
• Influence technical direction and strategic decisions across the broader OCI Networking organization.
• Represent the organization in executive-level planning, architecture reviews, and customer engagements.

What we're looking for

• 15+ years of software engineering experience.
• 7+ years of experience leading large engineering organizations.
• 10+ years of experience designing, delivering, and operating large scale distributed systems in production environments.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and high-availability architectures.
• Prior experience owning and managing SaaS/IaaS services.
• Demonstrated success mentoring and growing engineers and people managers to senior levels.
• Experience leading organizations with multiple layers of engineering management.
• BS, MS, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
