JOB TITLE: Senior Director, AI Technical Programs
The Senior Director, AI Technical Programs leads the company’s AI work to support the Process Support Engineer community. You will manage a small team of AI practitioners to build and scale practical GenAI and AI solutions for engineering workflows. Key responsibilities include developing knowledge systems, retrieval methods, and automated workflows for troubleshooting and report generation. You will align roadmaps with internal AI leadership, manage end-to-end technical programs, and ensure solutions meet security, IP, and compliance standards. You must evaluate models, platforms, and vendors while providing hands-on training to field teams. The role requires expertise in data governance, model lifecycles, and knowledge systems to solve problems related to cycle time reduction, consistent technical guidance, and information accessibility within a global engineering environment.
Build and maintain AI-driven knowledge bases to help Process Support Engineers find technical information and troubleshoot faster.
Develop practical GenAI solutions for automating repeatable workflows, summarizing content, and generating reports.
Lead a small team of AI practitioners to prototype, build, and harden solutions for production use.
Manage the end-to-end AI roadmap, including prioritizing use cases, tracking progress, and reporting outcomes to leadership.
Evaluate internal and external AI platforms, models, and vendors to recommend tools that improve productivity.
Create hands-on training, playbooks, and working sessions to teach the PSE community how to use AI effectively.
Align with internal AI leadership to converge separate capabilities into a unified set of PSE-optimized solutions.
Establish safety guardrails, data governance standards, and compliance protocols for all AI-driven workflows and outputs.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred: Master’s in CS, Data Science, Engineering, or related).
10–15 years of experience (preferred: leading cross-functional technical programs and delivering AI/ML or GenAI solutions from prototype through scaled deployment in an enterprise setting).
Ability to run large technical programs end-to-end, including scope, schedule, priorities, risks, budgets, and outcomes.
Proficiency in building practical AI solutions, including GenAI for engineering workflows, data governance, security, and model lifecycle management.
Expertise in knowledge systems and retrieval to structure information for human and AI use.
Ability to influence without authority across business units and centralized AI groups.
Experience leading a small team of AI practitioners to prototype, build, and harden solutions.
