Senior Customer Engineer, Majors

What you'll do

• Lead technical deep-dive discovery to map customer infrastructure to Cloudflare architectures and bespoke solutions.
• Define and scope technical evaluation plans and success criteria for Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
• Design structured migration and onboarding blueprints for DNS, Zero Trust, and WAF configurations.
• Act as the primary technical advisor to customers throughout the entire lifecycle from onboarding to renewal.
• Carry a variable quota for new business acquisition and ongoing account growth through platform adoption.
• Lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews to translate platform capabilities into measurable ROI for executives.
• Use AI agents and LLMs to automate routine tasks like RFP responses and telemetry monitoring.
• Create and govern technical resources, standard operating procedures, and architectural best practices for internal and external use.

What we're looking for

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, or Sales Engineering.
• Ability to design and articulate complex enterprise network and security architectures.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts into business outcomes for engineers and C-level executives.
• Proven track record in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment with knowledge of SaaS metrics.
• Depth in at least four areas: Internet fundamentals, Security, Performance, AI Proficiency, Coding/Scripting, or Developer Platform Fluency.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws without sponsorship.
• Experience with LLM orchestration, RAG architectures, or regulatory knowledge like PCI DSS (preferred).
