You will solve the technical challenge of migrating legacy environments to cloud-native architectures while establishing governance for responsible-AI guardrails and functional-equivalence testing across insurance, banking, healthcare, and retail sectors.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end mainframe modernization engagements from initial discovery and assessment through migration execution and stabilization.
  • Architect modernization roadmaps using rehost, replatform, refactor, re-architect, and replace strategies.
  • Embed generative AI and LLMs into the modernization lifecycle for code conversion, business-rule extraction, and test generation.
  • Establish technical governance for AI-tool selection, migration patterns, and responsible-AI guardrails.
  • Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams to deliver modernization solutions and reusable IP accelerators.
  • Perform inventory analysis, dependency mapping, and complexity assessments for legacy mainframe environments.
  • Validate AI-generated code through functional-equivalence testing and human-in-the-loop quality assurance.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with mainframe applications including COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, IMS, Assembler, and/or PL/I.
  • Experience serving as a Technical Lead or Architect on large mainframe modernization programs.
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end mainframe transformation programs from assessment through go-live.
  • Hands-on experience applying generative AI and LLM-enabled technologies to mainframe modernization tasks.
  • Strong experience with modernization and cloud technologies including IBM z/OS Connect, AWS Mainframe Modernization, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
  • Strong consulting, architecture, and client-facing capabilities to lead cross-functional teams and manage technical risks.
  • Experience designing and validating AI-assisted code conversion pipelines (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Solutions Architect, Azure AI Engineer, AWS AI/ML, or TOGAF (preferred).
