Senior Confidential Computing Software Engineer (Kubernetes & Virtualization)

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and debug Rust and Go software for container orchestration and confidential computing infrastructure.
• Integrate AMD SEV technologies into Kubernetes-based platforms including Confidential Containers (CoCo) and Kata Containers.
• Develop topology-aware orchestration capabilities to optimize workload placement based on NUMA, cache hierarchy, and processor architecture.
• Integrate AMD EPYC platform capabilities with Kubernetes resource management tools like CPU Manager and Topology Manager.
• Create and maintain test suites for functionality, performance, scalability, and topology awareness across the software stack.
• Debug complex software layers including Linux, KVM/QEMU, guest firmware, and hardware resource management.
• Contribute code, tests, and technical documentation to upstream open-source projects and communities.
• Support attestation technologies and related infrastructure projects like Trustee and VirTEE to enable end-to-end functionality.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience developing software in Go, Rust, Python, and Bash (preferred).
• Expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration including cluster architecture, scheduling, and resource management (preferred).
• Knowledge of modern server architecture, including NUMA topology, CCD/CCX organization, and cache hierarchy (preferred).
• Proficiency with Linux, KVM, QEMU, libvirt, and virtualization infrastructure (preferred).
• Experience with confidential computing technologies such as AMD SEV-SNP or trusted execution environments (preferred).
• Experience developing platform validation frameworks, CI environments, and performance benchmarks (preferred).
• Experience contributing code, documentation, or technical leadership to open-source projects (preferred).
