As a Senior Body Mechanical Engineer, you will join the Vehicle Systems team to own the structural and mechanical design of a maritime autonomous vehicle. Your responsibilities include setting architecture for the hull structure, propulsion systems, buoyancy controls, and actuation mechanisms, conducting trade studies, managing budgets and schedules, and coordinating with other system leads on integration. You will drive structural analysis, hydrodynamic optimization, and transition designs from prototype to production while ensuring mechanical interoperability across subsystems. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields, 5+ years of experience in marine, aerospace, or robotic systems, and expertise in structural analysis and propulsion system design. Familiarity with FEA and CFD tools is preferred, as well as experience with autonomous underwater vehicles and naval architecture principles.
