As a Senior Propulsion & Hydrodynamics Engineer, you will join the Vehicle Systems team to lead propulsion and hydrodynamic design for maritime autonomous vehicles. Your responsibilities include driving thruster selection and integration, conducting hydrodynamic analysis, optimizing fairing geometry, defining power requirements, and leading trade studies on speed, endurance, noise, and efficiency. You will work closely with energy systems, thruster, and fairing teams, support prototype testing, and contribute to design reviews. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, along with 5+ years of experience in marine propulsion or hydrodynamics, familiarity with CFD tools, and electric thruster systems. Experience with AUV/UUV propulsion, acoustic signature management, and defense robotics is preferred.
