Your responsibilities include developing mechanical solutions for components like launch and recovery mechanisms, handling gear, transportation, storage, and testing equipment, as well as managing vendors and overseeing the development process from concept to low-rate production. You will need a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of experience in maritime, aerospace, or defense systems, CAD skills (preferably Siemens NX), and secret security clearance. Experience with robotic and autonomous systems, finite element analysis, and working within the defense, maritime, or aerospace domains is preferred.
