What you'll do

  • Drive end-to-end energy storage system development on accelerated timelines.
  • Ensure successful battery pack delivery by meeting cost targets and resolving reliability issues.
  • Serve as the main interface between the Core Battery Group and internal customers.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to deliver battery design revisions from prototypes to production packs.
  • Support manufacturing engineering in ramping up from prototype to production units while ensuring validation.
  • Provide hands-on support for battery bring-up, testing, debugging, and vehicle integration.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering field with 5+ years of energy storage system experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering energy storage systems from prototype to production.
  • Experience in battery pack manufacturing and design, including ownership of prototypes.
  • Strong understanding of BMS electrical design, algorithms, SW functionality, and validation.
  • Knowledge of battery cell characterization methods and modeling/simulation tools like Matlab/Simulink.
  • Familiarity with UN38.3, NAVSEA S9310, or equivalent safety standards for batteries.
