This role involves defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for bank-direct payment methods supporting e-commerce, point-of-sale, and bill payments. You will translate strategy into clear roadmaps and customer journeys while partnering with engineering, design, and risk teams to deliver scalable APIs, integrations, and platform features. Required skills include experience in digital payments, commerce payments, and fraud considerations. You must also demonstrate familiarity with language models and applications within a product management lifecycle to drive AI-first development.

What you'll do

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to expand Zelle into e-commerce and point-of-sale use cases.
  • Translate target customer segments and user journeys into clear product requirements and measurable outcomes.
  • Design end-to-end checkout and payment experiences that balance speed, security, usability, and trust.
  • Partner with engineering and design to deliver scalable APIs, integrations, and platform features for merchant acceptance.
  • Develop network and ecosystem requirements in collaboration with participating banks and external partners.
  • Define product data needs, instrumentation, and success metrics to prioritize improvements and drive adoption.
  • Coordinate with risk, compliance, and operational teams to ensure products meet necessary controls and protections.
  • Lead cross-functional execution from discovery through launch, including pilot planning and post-launch iteration.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5+ years of product management experience required.
  • Experience building and launching digital payments products, including customer-facing experiences and platform capabilities.
  • Experience in commerce payments, including merchant acceptance for e-commerce and/or point-of-sale (POS).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex problems into clear requirements, roadmaps, and prioritization decisions.
  • Experience partnering with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver products from discovery through launch.
  • Ability to align diverse stakeholders and drive execution in a cross-functional environment.
  • Familiarity with payment risk, fraud considerations, and control requirements for commerce transactions.
  • Familiarity with language models and applications within product management.
  • Experience building pay-by-bank, account-to-account, or real-time payments solutions (preferred).
  • Experience with merchant integrations, checkout optimization, and payment acceptance journeys (preferred).
  • Familiarity with bank network models, ecosystem incentives, and multi-party product design (preferred).
  • Experience launching 0-to-1 products or new platforms in a regulated environment (preferred).
