The Senior Associate, Electrical Engineering joins the engineering team to implement and maintain cost-effective methods for testing and troubleshooting equipment and systems. This role involves performing RF, analog, and digital design and measurement tasks, as well as operational tests and fault isolation on radio systems. Key responsibilities include creating test strategies, designing test fixtures, and developing, debugging, and optimizing test software. The candidate will utilize National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand, along with analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, and meters. Core technical tasks involve fixture, cable, and PCB design for automated manufacturing test fixtures and documenting hardware and software. The work focuses on software defined radio products and communications, requiring expertise in evaluating designs for testability, functional board level testing, unit and system level testing, and coverage analysis.
Perform RF, analog, and digital design and measurement tasks for radio systems.
Develop, debug, and optimize test software using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand.
Create test strategies, specifications, and procedures for new and derivative assemblies.
Design fixtures, cables, and PCBs for automated manufacturing test fixtures.
Use test and measurement equipment to evaluate radio performance and perform fault isolation.
Document all test hardware and software using computer-based tools.
Instruct technicians on the completion of specific test requirements.
Support the delivery of new products to the manufacturing facility.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant Electrical Engineering experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related Electrical Engineering experience.
Ability to obtain security clearance.
Experience in digital, analog, and RF circuitry design/troubleshoot (preferred).
Measurement of key performance parameters using analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, and meters (preferred).
Understanding of software defined radio products and communications (preferred).
Expertise in evaluation of designs for testability; Working knowledge of functional board level testing, unit and system level testing, coverage analysis (preferred).
