What you'll do

Develop machine learning models to improve fraud detection accuracy and identify vulnerabilities.
Build scalable systems to productionize data science solutions for the Leo network.
Use statistical modeling and traditional machine learning to solve complex business problems.
Write queries to extract, transform, and aggregate large-scale data from various devices.
Design rules and models to prevent Customer Terminal usage fraud and abuse.
Monitor customer experience metrics to ensure systems do not negatively impact the user.
Identify and isolate technical issues using advanced analytics and data-driven insights.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
A PhD degree is required, or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of applied research experience.
At least 3 years of experience building machine learning models for business applications is required.
Experience in programming with Java, C++, Python, or related languages is required.
Proficiency in neural deep learning methods and traditional machine learning is required.
Experience using modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, TensorFlow, NumPy, or SciPy is preferred.
Experience with large-scale distributed systems like Hadoop or Spark is preferred.
Ability to write queries for data extraction and productionalize models is required.
