The Senior Analytics Manager - Search Ontology joins the technology team to set the technical direction and oversee the execution of advanced search analytics solutions for eCommerce and website platforms. This role involves building scalable, high-performance search architectures, managing and mentoring software engineering teams, and integrating advanced capabilities like NLP, vector search, and personalization. The candidate will design system integrations, manage IT services, and use measurable KPIs to improve search performance. Key technical requirements include expertise in OWL 2 based ontology for search engines, AWS, Snowflake, Python, and SQL/No-SQL databases. Experience with tools such as OpenSearch, Elastic Search, SOLR, Lucene, Coveo, or LucidWorks Fusion is required. The role focuses on transforming consumer data into actionable insights by implementing semantic capabilities across analytics workflows to solve complex problems in the eCommerce domain.
Define and implement a long-term technical vision for the search analytics platform to ensure scalability and performance.
Build detailed analytics architecture specifically focused on website and e-commerce search solutions.
Recruit, manage, and mentor teams of software engineers to achieve shared departmental objectives.
Integrate advanced capabilities such as NLP, vector search, and personalization to improve search accuracy.
Design and maintain integrations across various platforms, systems, and software packages.
Apply testing processes and tools to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Manage IT services and oversee reliable service operations for the organization.
Track and analyze key performance indicators like CTR and query distribution to continuously improve search results.
What we're looking for
Must be located in Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL, or Dallas, TX.
Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and structured delivery methods for managing new products.
Knowledge of software product design, architecture, integration engineering, and quality assurance testing.
Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) to oversee reliable service operations.
Experience with search products such as OpenSearch, Elastic Search, SOLR, Lucene, Coveo, or LucidWorks Fusion.
Strong expertise in OWL 2 based Ontology for search engines.
Proficiency in relational database concepts, Snowflake, Python, and Notebooks for SQL/No-SQL orchestration.
Experience with eCommerce, website, AI search deployments, AWS, and machine learning to improve search relevance (preferred); proficiency in AI code generation tools (preferred).
