TL;DR · Senior Analyst, Manufacturing IT

As Senior Analyst, Manufacturing IT, you will join the team responsible for developing, integrating, and supporting equipment-connected and real-time software that executes production on the factory floor. You will work directly with tools, cell controllers, handlers, testers, and MES boundary applications to ensure reliable, automated production flow in a 24x7 semiconductor manufacturing environment. Your daily responsibilities include implementing SECS/GEM standards for tool communication, managing recipe downloads, and building automation to reduce manual operator touchpoints. You will also troubleshoot production-impacting incidents and partner with engineering teams to onboard new tools while ensuring accurate data capture for yield analysis. Required skills include software development, scripting, and SQL for querying relational databases. The role addresses the technical challenge of maintaining seamless integration between manufacturing equipment and factory data platforms within a high-uptime semiconductor fabrication and assembly environment.

What you'll do

  • Develop and support real-time software for equipment-connected tools, cell controllers, and handlers on the factory floor.
  • Implement and maintain equipment integration using SECS/GEM standards to ensure reliable data capture and recipe management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production-impacting incidents on live automation systems to restore manufacturing flow quickly.
  • Build automation solutions like data pushers and barcode tracking to reduce manual operator touchpoints and improve cycle time.
  • Partner with engineering teams to onboard new tools while validating that integration meets quality requirements.
  • Ensure accurate capture of manufacturing, test, and wafer data for yield and quality analysis.
  • Follow strict change control and testing protocols to maintain traceability and protect production uptime.
  • Maintain compliance with cybersecurity, SOX, and data governance requirements for all equipment-connected systems.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience developing or supporting manufacturing, equipment-connected, or real-time systems (preferably in semiconductor wafer fab or assembly/test operations).
  • Working knowledge of equipment integration and automation frameworks including SECS/GEM, cell controllers, message buses, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on software development and scripting ability to read, debug, and extend existing application and integration code.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and analyzing manufacturing and tool data in relational databases.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing concepts such as WIP, lots, wafers, probe/trim, test flows, and basic yield and DPPM.
  • Ability to operate in a live 24x7 production environment while following disciplined change control.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual, or be eligible for export licensing approval.
