TL;DR · Analyst, Manufacturing IT

Analyst, Manufacturing IT joins the Camas Manufacturing IT team to develop, configure, and support manufacturing systems and equipment-connected software within a 24x7 semiconductor manufacturing environment. The role involves managing product transfers, implementing paperless manufacturing capabilities like electronic run cards and scanners, and building factory automation through SECS/GEM data flows and cell-controller tasks. You will resolve production-impacting incidents, develop reporting and WIP visibility enhancements using SQL, and ensure equipment integration meets quality requirements while following strict change control and data governance protocols. Required skills include experience with manufacturing or IT systems, software development and scripting to debug existing code, and familiarity with semiconductor concepts like wafers and yield flows. The position requires technical proficiency in relational databases and the ability to maintain production flow through robust tool onboarding and automated material-tracking solutions.

What you'll do

  • Configure and test MES content including routes, run cards, recipes, and product data in the PROMIS system.
  • Build and support factory automation and equipment integration using SECS/GEM data flows and cell-controller tasks.
  • Implement paperless manufacturing capabilities such as electronic run cards, scanners, and production-error-prevention checks.
  • Resolve production-impacting incidents on live systems to restore flow and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Develop reporting tools and improve WIP visibility by querying manufacturing data using SQL.
  • Support the onboarding of new tools and product transfers by validating equipment integration and data capture.
  • Maintain system integrity by following controlled change, testing, and release protocols for production environments.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience developing or supporting manufacturing, equipment-connected, or IT systems (strong internship or co-op experience considered).
  • Experience in semiconductor wafer fab or assembly/test operations is preferred.
  • Exposure to equipment integration or automation concepts such as SECS/GEM, cell controllers, or MES.
  • Hands-on software development and scripting ability to read, debug, and extend existing code.
  • SQL skills for querying manufacturing and tool data in relational databases.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing concepts including WIP, lots, wafers, and basic test and yield flows.
  • Ability to work in a live 24x7 production environment while following disciplined change control.
