What you'll do

  • Qualify leads and prioritize customer opportunities by identifying needs and requirements.
  • Independently manage complex sales processes from initial engagement to contract negotiations.
  • Guide both inbound and outbound opportunities through the contracting process with Legal team support.
  • Utilize deep technical expertise to confidently articulate Marqeta’s value to customers and prospects.
  • Develop proposals and expertly respond to RFIs/RFPs in collaboration with internal subject matter experts.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 10+ years of sales experience in payments, Fintech, or complex B2B technology.
  • Deep understanding of the entire payments ecosystem, especially the issuing side.
  • Proven ability to manage and close complex sales processes independently.
  • Strong technical expertise and knowledge of Marqeta’s platform capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for both sophisticated and unsophisticated buyers.
  • Financial acumen to evaluate and model customer proposals and contracts.
