Scientist, Software Engineer / Cloud Architect

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and field cloud architectures that meet specific system requirements for mission-critical telecommunications.
• Lead the full systems development lifecycle including requirements definition, software design, integration support, and testing.
• Design large-scale distributed systems utilizing microservices and containerization technologies.
• Create and maintain virtualized, containerized, and cloud-ready environments with regular security updates.
• Support business development by writing white papers, performing trade studies, and drafting technical proposals.
• Collaborate with security teams to define and implement necessary security controls.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to individual contributors to execute the development of awarded programs.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on Cloud, Microservices, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an FAA public trust.
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• 16 years of software experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years leading software teams to deliver enterprise solutions implementing RESTful Web Services, Microservices, and/or Cloud components (AWS preferred) (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience leveraging CSPs for Cloud computing, Containers, VPC, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Security Groups (preferred).
• Security clearance.
