What you'll do

  • Design digital workflows and tools to streamline biologics discovery and improve operational efficiency.
  • Test software solutions and identify opportunities for iterative improvements in data systems.
  • Pilot new software and AI tools to evaluate their utility for the BGM organization.
  • Implement standard analyses and visualizations that balance custom requirements with increased efficiency.
  • Act as a technical expert representing the department to informatics teams and external software vendors.
  • Translate wet-lab workflow nuances into integrated, harmonized data capture systems.
  • Communicate impact and workflow efficiency gains at both internal and external forums.

What we're looking for

  • BS or MS degree in a related scientific discipline or bioinformatics.
  • Experience for candidates with a BS degree.
  • Experience for candidates with an MS degree.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of molecular biology and binding and functional assays.
  • Hands-on experience with common bioinformatics tools such as Prism, Geneious, Genedata Screener, Dotmatics, or Benchling.
  • Proficiency in Python and at least one other programming language like SQL, Java, or R.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data engineering for retrieving, shaping, preprocessing, and managing large datasets from databases.
  • Proven ability to develop interactive data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, D3.js, or Spotfire.
