Satellite Systems Engineer, Space Networking Solutions

What you'll do

• Perform space segment systems engineering including concept development, trade studies, and CONOPS definition.
• Manage requirements decomposition, allocation, interface definition, verification, and validation for satellite systems.
• Design integrated satellite system solutions by analyzing subsystem functions and interfaces.
• Participate in software-to-hardware integration and test activities to ensure mission functionality before and after launch.
• Perform technical data analysis to maintain system configurations according to operational requirements.
• Conduct various analyses to optimize satellite system architecture and performance.
• Resolve cross-functional technical issues using data to determine the best engineering approaches.
• Develop and improve internal systems engineering processes and rigor.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in space systems engineering principles, technical performance budgets, requirements analysis, and design verification.
• 4+ years of experience in spacecraft systems engineering or a related field with hands-on satellite design and integration.
• 4+ years of experience in the derivation and maintenance of requirements from system level to lower levels.
• Hands-on experience with spacecraft integration, flatsat testing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, or mission operations.
• 4+ years of experience using standard electronic lab test equipment such as network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
• Master's degree in engineering, physics, aerospace, or a similar field (preferred).
