The Satellite Communication (SATCOM) Watch Officer joins the Global Solutions Management-Operations II team within the Defense & National Solutions Sector. Key technical skills and tools include Wideband SATCOM Network Controller, Wideband Remote Monitoring System, Common Network Planning Software, and ServiceNow ITSM. The position addresses critical Baseband, IF, and RF Communications problems, ensuring network resolution and providing recommendations for restoring service during catastrophic Teleport or satellite anomalies.

What you'll do

Monitor and control SATCOM and Teleport equipment to maintain situational awareness and mission establishment.
Provision, activate, test, and accept enterprise DISN Transport SATCOM.
Report incidents, events, and priority unscheduled outages using authorized email and ticketing systems.
Provide Tier I/II technical support to Teleport and SATCOM users, including the Special User community.
Resolve network problems across Baseband, IF, and RF Communications systems.
Develop network diagrams using government-approved tools and software applications.
Respond to around-the-clock contingency and catastrophic Teleport or satellite anomalies to restore service.
Contribute to daily, monthly, and annual resource utilization reports.

What we're looking for

Must possess a TS/SCI security clearance.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have 5+ years of prior satellite communications experience.
Must hold a DoD 8570, IAT Level II (Sec+) Certification.
Experience with DoW SATCOM Gateway/Teleport (preferred).
Experience with Wideband SATCOM Network Controller (preferred).
Experience with Wideband Remote Monitoring System (WRMS) (preferred).
Experience with Common Network Planning Software (CNPS) (preferred).
