The SAP FICO Architect defines solution architecture and cross-functional design for enterprise finance capabilities. This role involves designing and implementing Agentic AI solutions to automate repetitive activities and improve decision-making within financial operations. You will define end-to-end architecture for Financial Accounting and Controlling, integrating modules like Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Business Warehouse, and Business Planning and Consolidation. Key responsibilities include identifying high-value AI opportunities in Record-to-Report, Treasury, and Financial Reporting, while developing functional specifications and resolving production issues. Required expertise includes SAP S/4HANA Finance, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Asset Accounting. You must possess hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLM-based applications, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration to solve complex business problems and improve cross-functional integration across the enterprise landscape.
Define end-to-end SAP finance architecture across FICO and integrated enterprise platforms like SD, MM, and BW.
Design and implement Agentic AI solutions to automate workflows and support decision-making in SAP Finance processes.
Identify high-value AI opportunities across Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Treasury functions.
Lead cross-module ERP design decisions and establish solution standards for SAP finance integration patterns.
Analyze current business processes to recommend future-state designs that improve efficiency, controls, and reporting.
Develop functional specifications for custom developments and provide technical guidance to development teams during build and deployment.
Diagnose system defects and resolve production issues through configuration changes, SAP Note analysis, and defect remediation.
Plan and coordinate system integration testing and user acceptance testing to validate requirements and production readiness.
What we're looking for
Must possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
10+ years of experience in SAP Finance and Accounting solution design, configuration, and support across enterprise environments.
10+ years of experience configuring SAP FICO capabilities including GL, Controlling, AR, AP, Asset Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Profitability Analysis.
8+ years of experience leading cross-functional SAP integration design with modules such as SD, MM, PTP, OTC, BW, or BPC.
8+ years of experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, or large-scale transformation programs across finance functions.
10+ years of experience developing functional specifications, supporting testing, and resolving production issues through configuration and SAP Notes.
3+ full life cycle implementations of SAP in finance-focused roles with responsibility for design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
Hands-on experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI agents, or intelligent workflow automation.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, or military experience.
4+ years of experience in an SAP architect role supporting enterprise finance transformation (preferred).
Experience implementing Agentic AI specifically within SAP FICO or Finance processes (preferred).
Experience with SAP BTP, Fiori, APIs, integration services, or extensibility patterns (preferred).
SAP S/4HANA Finance certification or relevant AI/ML certification (preferred).
