Range Instrumentation & Trajectory Tracking Engineer

What you'll do

• Deploy, calibrate, and operate multi-camera high-speed optical systems in the field.
• Perform spatial orientation calibrations to align camera coordinates with absolute earth and range coordinate systems.
• Process raw multi-angle video frames to calculate 3D missile trajectories and flight dynamics.
• Write custom MATLAB or Python scripts to smooth data, filter noise, and resolve coordinate anomalies.
• Develop ground, air, and sea capture solutions for efficient and repeatable test results.
• Manage and maintain camera gear and related equipment to ensure constant operational readiness.
• Execute system-level testing of hardware and software in coordination with flight test engineers.
• Create detailed capture plans that align with specific mission goals and marketing requirements.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a cinematographer or in a similar role with a portfolio of work.
• Familiarity with high-speed cinematography, long lens operation, and cinema drones.
• FAA Part 107 certification is required.
• Familiarity with bespoke long-range video transmission solutions.
• Ability to write custom data analysis scripts using MATLAB or Python.
• Experience in field operations including the setup and calibration of opto-mechanical tracking mounts and SWIR sensors.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to access requirements for export-controlled information or facilities.
