Project Lead, Innovation & Partnerships, R&D MedTech

What you'll do

• Lead cross-functional teams to execute parallel product development projects in partnership with Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine.
• Manage external and inter-company collaboration projects from initial assessment through execution and final transfer to life-cycle management.
• Drive technical direction and decisions while balancing technical rigor with business needs and cost of goods.
• Ensure all projects comply with regulatory requirements including GMP, ISO, and MDD standards.
• Develop and refine comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules and cross-functional role assignments.
• Transfer product and manufacturing processes from the development team to operations and marketing organizations.
• Identify project risks early and devise mitigation strategies within a regulated medical device environment.
• Communicate complex technical information and project progress, risks, and opportunities to non-technical stakeholders and management.

What we're looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• A master’s or Ph.D. in biomedical, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred (preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in medical device development is required.
• Experience in combination products or related fields is required.
• Proven record of leading efforts to deliver technically complex products from concept to market is required.
• Experience in medical manufacturing is desirable (preferred).
• Proficiency in project management principles (PMP or similar certification) and tools like Smartsheet or MS Project is required.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% is required.
