Program Security Officer, Amazon Leo for Government (ALG) joins the Industrial Security team to design, build, and implement security assurance and compliance programs. This role focuses on ensuring that classified operations meet National Industrial Security Program requirements and U.S. Government directives from the DoD and IC. You will execute security compliance processes across personnel, physical, and industrial security disciplines while managing the clearance lifecycle in DISS and NBIS. Responsibilities include conducting vulnerability assessments, managing SCIF accreditation under ICD 705 standards, and handling classified materials per NISPOM and DoD Manual 5200.01. You will utilize expertise in NISPOM, ICD 705, and GSA-approved protocols to provide assurance for accredited facilities. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance and involves collaborating with engineering and program teams to resolve compliance risks and optimize security controls within the government sector.
Execute security compliance processes for personnel, physical, and industrial security disciplines based on NISPOM and ICD 705 standards.
Prepare for and support DCSA security reviews, assessments, and vulnerability audits while negotiating engagement parameters with government officials.
Manage the clearance lifecycle including initiations, reinvestigations, eligibility determinations, and reporting in DISS/NBIS systems.
Conduct physical security vulnerability assessments, self-inspections, and remediation tracking for accredited facilities and SCIFs.
Lead investigations into security incidents, violations, and classified disclosures while drafting incident reports and damage assessments.
Safeguard, mark, transmit, and destroy classified materials and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) per federal mandates.
Manage access control systems, alarm programs, and GSA-approved container security for controlled spaces.
Develop and deliver security education, training, and awareness programs regarding NISPOM compliance requirements.
What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance (polygraph preferred).
Requires 5+ years of experience designing or implementing security assurance and compliance programs per NISP requirements.
Must have demonstrated expertise with the NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117) and related government directives.
Requires hands-on experience with governance, risk, and compliance functions including clearance lifecycle management in DISS/NBIS.
Experience is required in scoping, negotiating, or executing government security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement, Business Management, Accounting, or related fields.
Preferred certifications include SFPC, SAPPC, ISP, PSC, or Insider Threat Program certification.
