The Product Operations Manager, Maritime joins the Maritime team to build the Product Operations function within a larger deployment and sustainment group. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability and readiness of autonomous undersea systems, including surface vehicles and seabed sensors. You will lead a team to triage, diagnose, and resolve technical incidents across a global fleet, translating field telemetry and failure data into permanent hardware and software design improvements. Key responsibilities include managing the incident lifecycle, conducting root cause analysis, and standardizing sustainment processes. Required skills include technical leadership in electromechanical systems, problem-solving, and experience with Linux CLI, Grafana, Jira, Git, SQL, or Palantir Foundry. The role addresses the technical challenge of providing operational support and situational awareness for complex subsea robotics.
Lead and mentor a team to triage, diagnose, and resolve technical incidents across the global maritime fleet.
Translate real-world field telemetry and failure data into permanent system upgrades and hardware design improvements.
Oversee the collection and analysis of fleet health data to predict and prevent system failures.
Act as a technical translator between engineering teams, business stakeholders, and military operators.
Manage communications and drive rapid resolutions for high-priority technical incidents reported by global users.
Standardize and scale sustainment operations and processes to support exponential fleet growth.
Identify failure modes to conduct root cause analysis and manage the incident lifecycle for maritime products.
What we're looking for
6+ years of professional experience managing and supporting complex technical systems in maritime, aerospace, robotics, automotive, defense, or electromechanical fields.
Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent hands-on military, maritime, or industrial technical experience.
Proven ability to lead teams through complex, unstructured technical challenges and navigate ambiguous situations.
Experience managing, coaching, or leading technical teams with a focus on professional development and operational excellence.
Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security clearance.
Ability to be based in or relocate to Costa Mesa, CA.
Ability to travel as needed to support customer operations and test events.
Experience supporting or deploying undersea munitions, vehicles, or unmanned undersea systems as a DoD contractor or military end-user (preferred).
