Product Operations Manager, Maritime
The Product Operations Manager, Maritime joins the Maritime team to build the Product Operations function within a larger deployment and sustainment group. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability of autonomous undersea systems by building field failure discovery, mitigation, and resolution processes. The manager will lead a high-performing team to triage technical incidents, analyze fleet health data, and translate real-world telemetry into hardware and software improvements. Key responsibilities include managing the incident lifecycle, standardizing sustainment operations, and acting as a bridge between engineering teams and military operators. Required skills include experience with complex electromechanical systems, problem-solving in ambiguous situations, and technical leadership. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Linux CLI, Grafana, Jira, Git, SQL, or Palantir Foundry. Lead and mentor a team to triage, diagnose, and resolve technical incidents across the global maritime fleet.
Translate real-world field telemetry and failure data into permanent hardware and software design improvements.
Oversee the collection and analysis of fleet health data to predict and prevent system failures.
Act as a translator between engineering teams, business stakeholders, and military operators in the field.
Provide technical support for global users and manage communications regarding high-priority incidents.
Standardize and scale sustainment operations to support rapid growth of the maritime fleet.
Identify failure modes to conduct root cause analysis and deploy fixes across the product line.
What we're looking for
6+ years of professional experience managing and supporting complex technical systems in maritime, aerospace, robotics, automotive, defense, or electromechanical fields.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on military, maritime, or industrial technical experience.
Proven ability to lead teams through complex, unstructured technical challenges and navigate ambiguous situations.
Experience managing, coaching, or leading technical teams with a focus on professional development and operational excellence.
Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security clearance.
Ability to travel as needed to support customer operations and test events.
Experience supporting or deploying undersea munitions, vehicles, or unmanned undersea systems (preferred).
Familiarity with naval systems, Linux CLI, modern observability tools, data analytics, or prior military/government experience (preferred).
