As a Product Management Intern 2027 within the Infrastructure & Technology team, you will support the product organization by mastering design thinking and new product introduction methodologies. You will work daily with cross-functional teams in engineering, design, marketing, and sales to define requirements, user stories, and specifications for the IBM Z and LinuxONE portfolio. Your role involves analyzing competitor trends and customer feedback to identify new opportunities while curating insights from interviews to fuel the Idea Hub. To succeed, you must possess strong communication and presentation skills, creativity, and flexibility. Preferred qualifications include coursework in entrepreneurship, marketing, or product design, alongside experience with customer feedback survey analytics and familiarity with AI model training. You will help navigate functional trade-offs and business impacts for high-resiliency systems including mainframes and hybrid cloud platforms.
Define product requirements, user stories, and specifications using IBM’s product management methodologies.
Analyze competitors, market trends, and customer feedback to identify new product opportunities.
Curate insights from interviews with existing and potential customers for the Idea Hub.
Manage functional trade-offs while balancing customer outcomes and business impacts.
Support the development of products across the IBM Z and LinuxONE portfolio.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams in engineering, design, marketing, and sales to ensure timely delivery.
What we're looking for
High School Diploma or GED.
Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
Must be actively enrolled in a college or university.
Creativity and flexibility to adapt to new scenarios.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Junior or senior level coursework in Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Product Management, Business Development, Product Development, or Product Design (preferred).
Experience with customer feedback survey analytics (preferred).
