As a Product Engineer 4 within the Global Products Group, you will support the design and engineering of etch and deposition products for the semiconductor industry. You will provide technical support to customers and field personnel troubleshooting Etch Gas Delivery hardware while managing remote and on-site escalations. Your daily responsibilities include reporting software bugs and reliability issues to engineering teams, defining requirements for new features, collaborating with suppliers to qualify components, and performing data analysis for gas delivery systems. The role requires expertise in fluid mechanics, vacuum systems, and statistical process control. You will utilize tools such as CAD, OrCAD, LabVIEW, MATLAB, JMP, OpenMP, Fortran, C, C#, Python, STAR-CCM+, Fluent, COMSOL, Origin, or Maxwell to solve complex technical problems and improve product performance in high-stakes manufacturing environments.
Provide technical support to customers and field personnel for troubleshooting and repairing Etch Gas Delivery hardware.
Manage remote and on-site escalations to resolve complex product issues.
Report design, reliability, maintenance issues, and software bugs to engineering teams.
Define software requirements for new features and gas delivery hardware operations.
Collaborate with suppliers to develop and qualify new components.
Perform testing and data analysis for existing and new gas delivery hardware.
Create and update technical documentation for field service engineers and customers.
Participate in customer installations and training sessions.
What we're looking for
Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of related industry experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in product engineering.
At least 1 year of experience in three areas: electromechanical design, systems integration, multivariate data modeling, statistical process control, vacuum systems, or semiconductor technologies.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working on projects involving fluid mechanics and gas delivery systems.
Minimum of 1 year of experience reading electrical/mechanical schematics and interpreting operation manuals.
Minimum of 1 year of experience with statistical process control and basic statistical analysis in a production environment.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with suppliers to source components and perform failure analysis.
