The Product Delivery Manager - Compute Infrastructure Platforms joins the Compute Infrastructure team to lead the end-to-end delivery of foundational compute platforms and services. This role involves orchestrating infrastructure solutions, managing delivery backlogs, and guiding product launches while acting as the voice of the customer. Key responsibilities include developing delivery strategies, managing cross-functional dependencies, and tracking metrics like cost, capacity, and reliability. The position requires expertise in virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM, alongside cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP, and containerization tools including Kubernetes and Docker. Candidates must apply Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies to solve complex infrastructure problems involving hybrid cloud, edge computing, and hardware acceleration to ensure high-quality, scalable, and performant technology outcomes within a large-scale enterprise environment.
Develop and execute a product delivery strategy for virtualization, cloud, containers, and bare metal technologies.
Manage the delivery backlog to support the strategic roadmap and infrastructure feature enhancements.
Lead discovery efforts to identify customer needs and integrate emerging compute capabilities into the roadmap.
Build frameworks to track key delivery metrics including cost, capacity, utilization, risk, reliability, and performance.
Coordinate quarterly planning sessions with key stakeholders to develop materials and align on technology goals.
Monitor delivery progress to identify optimization opportunities and implement improvements for business impact.
Guide successful product launches and gather feedback to ensure high-quality client experiences for mission-critical services.
Manage cross-functional dependencies and portfolio impacts to enable informed decision-making across stakeholder groups.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on product engineering concepts and 7+ years of applied experience.
Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle and delivery methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
Proven ability to lead product delivery activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management for infrastructure products.
Demonstrated experience with compute infrastructure concepts such as virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
Demonstrated success managing operational effectiveness and portfolio management initiatives within large-scale infrastructure environments.
Strong ability to build and communicate delivery roadmaps, manage dependencies, and drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, architecture, and security teams.
Experience working within a highly matrixed, complex organization with multiple stakeholder groups (preferred).
Knowledge of emerging infrastructure technologies including hybrid and multi-cloud, edge computing, and infrastructure as code (preferred).
