What you'll do

Develop and maintain high-scale distributed systems for AI experimentation and product features.
Design and architect scalable, reliable, and performant components with minimal oversight.
Produce high-quality, well-tested, and secure code while optimizing for performance and cost.
Integrate AI tools into the software development lifecycle and coach team members on responsible usage.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver features with end-to-end testing.
Drive engineering excellence through automation, tooling improvements, and security best practices.
Manage live site operations, including on-call rotations, incident postmortems, and proactive monitoring improvements.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field is required.
Candidates must have 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Candidates with a Master's degree and 6+ years of experience or a Bachelor's and 8+ years of experience are preferred.
Experience with AI-assisted development workflows and the responsible use of AI coding tools is required.
Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks and other government security screening requirements is required.
Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems on cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred.
Experience designing service architectures focused on scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and cost optimization is preferred.
Experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and using observability tools to improve system reliability is preferred.
