JOB TITLE: Principal Test & Evaluation Engineer - Networked Battlefield Systems The Test & Evaluation Engineering Team seeks a Principal Test & Evaluation Engineer to serve as the senior technical authority for test and evaluation across the Connected Warfare portfolio. This role provides technical oversight for complex, multi-system test campaigns, including Eagle Eye and NGC2. You will review verification strategies, mentor Staff and Lead Test Engineers, and resolve difficult cross-system integration problems. Key responsibilities include conducting requirements-based and scenario-based testing, performing root-cause investigations, and ensuring traceability from requirements to validation. You will utilize skills in RF communications, tactical datalinks, and networked C2 systems within DoD operational environments. Required expertise includes MIL-STD protocols, hardware-in-the-loop integration, and CI/CD pipelines. This role solves critical technical challenges in software-enabled hardware and pure-software systems to ensure mission readiness.

What you'll do

Serve as the senior technical authority for test strategy across the Connected Warfare portfolio.
Review and strengthen verification strategies for software-enabled hardware and pure-software systems.
Identify and drive the reuse of test infrastructure, tooling, and lessons learned across different programs.
Provide technical mentorship and escalation support to Staff and Lead Test Engineers on complex test problems.
Execute and represent the division's test posture during Test Readiness Reviews and customer acceptance events.
Monitor and define test coverage, requirements verification, and defect closure metrics at a division level.
Lead root-cause investigations for the most difficult test findings and system anomalies.
Represent the test engineering team in design reviews and technical exchanges with government customers.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred).
10-14+ years of experience in system-level test and evaluation of integrated hardware/software systems.
8+ years of experience operating in a technical leadership or test lead capacity.
Demonstrated technical depth across tactical C2, sensor/mission autonomy platforms, and networked datalinks.
Proven track record across the full test lifecycle including requirements development, HITL lab integration, and operational validation.
Strong experience with RF communications, tactical datalinks, and networked C2 systems in DoD operational environments.
Deep familiarity with DoD and industry test processes, including MIL-STD test protocols and government verification practices.
Active or immediately eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance; eligibility for Top Secret/SCI strongly preferred.
