The Principal, Supply Chain Program Management serves as the focal point for supply chain operations, leading the Supply Chain IPT to support complex development programs throughout the product life cycle. This leadership role involves coordinating with engineering, finance, and quality teams to develop procurement strategies, manage critical path parts, and ensure successful transitions into production. Key responsibilities include supporting new business proposals, managing labor Basis of Estimates, identifying alternate sources for technology insertion, and implementing Lean-Six Sigma methodologies to drive operational excellence. The role requires expertise in Federal Acquisition Regulations, Earned Value Management Systems, and Cost Account Management. Candidates should possess skills in tools such as CINCOM Control, Agile PLM/PDM, and Kinaxis Rapid Response while navigating technical evaluations, risk assessments, and Statement of Work alignments to mitigate risks and optimize supply chain effectiveness for defense technology programs.
Provide strategic and tactical guidance to support new business proposals and win follow-on contracts.
Review and approve labor Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and document proposal packages for the supply chain organization.
Manage labor fund allocations and ensure alignment with proposed budgets during the transition from award to production.
Develop strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, including identifying alternate sources and technology insertions.
Evaluate supply chain business requirements, Statements of Work, risk assessments, and make/buy decisions.
Execute acquisition strategies to reduce costs associated with critical suppliers and single-source parts.
Implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma tools and data analysis to drive operational excellence.
Lead the team in identifying risks, managing costs, and monitoring performance metrics for critical path parts.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant experience, a graduate degree and 10 years of related experience, or 16 years of experience without a degree.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Strong working knowledge of supply chain processes, systems, and program management principles (preferred).
Active U.S. Government Secret Security clearance (preferred).
Knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Cost Account Management (CAM) certification (preferred).
Program Management certification (preferred).
ASCM certifications or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black belt certification (preferred).
