Principal Software Engineering: Software Development Test (SDET)

What you'll do

• Define and lead the performance testing, automation, and quality engineering strategy for critical financial systems.
• Design performance engineering practices for cloud-native, containerized, and event-driven architectures at enterprise scale.
• Execute large-scale performance testing using tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, and Gatling in AWS environments.
• Evaluate and recommend performance testing tools and APM platforms like Splunk, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics.
• Establish a performance engineering Center of Excellence or maturity model across the enterprise.
• Mentor and guide engineers on performance testing and failover methodologies.
• Present technical findings to leadership to drive architectural improvements for high-availability systems.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, an analytical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of IT industry experience with at least 5 years in Quality Engineering and tool architecture.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience architecting and executing performance testing in AWS cloud environments.
• 7+ years of experience in Agile methodology, including integration of Jira and test management tools.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Java, JavaScript, VBScript, and Python.
• Experience with performance tools (LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling) and automation frameworks (Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab).
• AWS certification or performance engineering certifications (preferred); experience in the Options and Futures industry (preferred).
