What you'll do

• Lead, coach, and develop a software engineering team while fostering an inclusive growth environment.
• Translate product direction from management and design into actionable engineering roadmaps.
• Manage the full execution lifecycle from planning through release, including tracking quality and risks.
• Partner with senior engineers to oversee architecture, performance, and technical direction.
• Use telemetry, analytics, and customer feedback to guide investment decisions and measure results.
• Communicate product health, priorities, and trade-offs clearly to senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
• Balance engineering capacity between new features, platform modernization, and technical debt.
• Align across the Windows organization on shared platform capabilities and technical dependencies.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding.
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check requirements.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, shipping, and evolving complex customer-facing products (preferred).
• 4+ years of experience managing software engineering teams, including coaching engineers and developing talent (preferred).
• Experience owning customer-facing software products or major product areas across multiple releases (preferred).
• Experience using telemetry, analytics, experimentation, and customer feedback to assess application health and prioritize investments (preferred).
• Experience partnering with engineering, product management, and design to set direction and make trade-offs (preferred).
• Experience shipping native desktop or mobile applications at scale, specifically with Windows technologies like C++, C#, WinUI, or .NET (preferred).
