What you'll do

Design, develop, and maintain complex mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
Architect and deliver application enhancements driven by regulatory changes and strategic business objectives.
Establish full project life cycle plans and coordinate schedules for multiple complex projects.
Perform independent technical and functional analysis to provide technology solutions for divisional initiatives.
Develop and integrate UI components with back-end services using Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle PL/SQL.
Architect workflow and event-driven integrations using Kafka, REST, and SOAP services.
Advise senior management on technical strategy and risk management for major projects.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on development standards.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or a related field and five years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or a related field and three years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
Experience performing mainframe software development and analysis in financial services applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
Expertise developing, enhancing, and supporting high-volume z/OS mainframe batch and online applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
Expertise in writing COBOL and DB2 stored procedures and managing production deployments using z/OS, JCL, DFSORT, IDCAMS, IBM MQ, and CICS TS.
Expertise designing cross-platform solutions spanning z/OS, Java microservices, Pega Platform, Oracle Exadata, and Azure/AWS cloud environments.
Expertise in automated and manual testing using zUnit, JUnit/TestNG, Mockito, Postman, SoapUI, Selenium, and JMeter.
Expertise developing and integrating UI with back-end services using Java, Spring Boot, Oracle PL/SQL, and the Pegasys framework.
