As a Principal Software Engineer, Platform, you will join the team responsible for building the foundational infrastructure that enables Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services to operate reliably at scale. What we're looking for
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of professional software-engineering experience with impact on backend, platform, or cloud services.
Experience designing highly available, scalable distributed systems and evolving production APIs or platform interfaces.
Proficiency in one or more object-oriented or systems programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, or Go.
Deep understanding of distributed-systems fundamentals, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and secure software-development practices.
Demonstrated experience leading or influencing architecture and technical design across teams.
Strong judgment in ambiguous environments, high ownership, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with microservices, SDKs, RESTful APIs, containers, cloud-native deployments, or developer-platform products (preferred).
