As a Principal Software Engineer on the Azure Monitor team, you will join the Azure Data engineering group to accelerate the modernization of reliable, cost-efficient managed telemetry pipelines. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating cloud-scale solutions, data pipelines, and infrastructure components that deliver observability data from Azure and the Edge to various destinations. Your daily work involves building secure distributed systems, driving technical direction across multiple teams, mentoring engineers, and establishing engineering standards for production deployment and incident response. Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 8+ years of engineering experience (preferred).
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 12+ years of engineering experience (preferred).
Demonstrated experience with Rust coding language (preferred).
Experience with observability systems, telemetry pipelines, monitoring platforms, Open Telemetry, or cloud-native infrastructure (preferred).
Experience with Kubernetes, containers, cloud platforms, or large-scale data processing systems (preferred).
