As a Principal Signal Processing Engineer - Cardiac Ablation Solutions, you will join the team to develop next-generation technology for treating heart rhythm disorders. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing novel signal processing algorithms and software used for diagnosis and therapy during cardiac ablation procedures. Your daily work involves managing signal processing pipelines within Affera products, collaborating with hardware engineers on electronics and firmware, and performing verification of computational algorithms using bench, preclinical, and clinical data. The role requires expertise in digital signal processing, filter design, and machine learning-based development including model deployment. You will utilize Python, C++, and Linux systems to build high-performance, reliable code for medical devices. This position addresses critical challenges in cardiac electrophysiology by creating advanced tools for mapping, pacing, and ablation measurements to improve patient outcomes.
Develop novel algorithms and software for the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders.
Design, develop, and test high-performance signal processing algorithms for medical device production code.
Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to align electronics and firmware with signal processing requirements.
Manage signal processing pipelines within Affera software products.
Perform verification and validation of computational algorithms and signal processing systems.
Analyze bench, preclinical, and clinical data to inform design decisions and verification activities.
What we're looking for
A Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience, a Master's with 5 years, or a PhD with 3 years of relevant experience is required.
Experience designing, developing, and testing real-time, high-performance, and high-reliability code for digital signal processing and computational algorithms is required.
Proficiency in programming with Python and C++ is preferred.
Experience with software development on the Linux operating system is preferred.
Deep understanding of signal processing fundamentals including filter design and statistics is preferred.
Experience with machine learning-based development, including dataset annotation and model deployment, is preferred.
Hands-on R&D experience with custom or prototype hardware is preferred.
