Software Engineering Manager, Cardiac Ablation Solutions

What you'll do

• Lead software engineering teams in the design, development, and maintenance of complex medical device software.
• Define technical direction, development priorities, and execution plans aligned with product and business strategies.
• Manage project lifecycles including release milestones, risk management, defect resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate software deliverables across multiple sites while ensuring compliance with FDA and other regulatory requirements.
• Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing software engineering talent to foster a culture of excellence.
• Oversee resource planning, effort estimation, and technical forecasting for various project phases.
• Drive the adoption of industry-standard tools and Agile methodologies to improve team execution and delivery.
• Champion best practices in software architecture, cybersecurity, testability, and documentation across the organization.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience are required.
• An advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience and 5+ years of managerial experience is an acceptable alternative.
• Candidates must demonstrate the ability to balance technical leadership, people management, execution discipline, and long-term engineering strategy.
• Familiarity with Python and C++ is required.
• A thorough understanding of software architecture, design, implementation, code review, integration, and requirements traceability is required.
• Knowledge of medical product software development, IEC-62304, and FDA guidance is preferred.
• Experience with embedded software, real-time systems, imaging, mapping, or medical device platforms is preferred.
• Work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
