The Principal Security Architect joins the Productivity Security team to manage risks within the internal systems, platforms, and environments used by employees. What you'll do

  • Maintain a real-time synthesis of productivity risks by incorporating new signals as they evolve.
  • Represent the security position in technical discussions and engage deeply with engineering teams.
  • Partner with engineers to build tools and repeatable patterns that identify and mitigate risks.
  • Translate complex security risks into clear, actionable information for non-security stakeholders.
  • Make high-stakes decisions on project priorities when facts are incomplete or conditions change.
  • Convert interactions and requirements into actionable roadmaps for engineering teams to execute.
  • Develop durable, reusable security patterns rather than just providing basic requirements.

What we're looking for

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Risk Management, Cyber Security, or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Risk Management, Cyber Security, or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Equivalent experience to the specified degree and experience requirements.
  • Ability to pass a Microsoft Cloud background check.
  • 6+ years of hands-on security experience (preferred).
  • Experience in a corporate or enterprise environment at scale where controls compete with productivity (preferred).
  • Experience in multiple assessment disciplines including architecture, threat modeling, code reviews, and offensive/defensive security (preferred).
  • Experience with common scripting languages and agentic development tools (preferred).
