What you'll do

  • Develop frameworks for coordination, communication, task delegation, and result validation across multiple AI components.
  • Improve techniques for efficient code generation and transformation in low-resource environments.
  • Adapt models to domain-specific languages, formulas, and structured or semi-structured data formats.
  • Implement fine-tuning and post-training approaches to improve model reliability and controllability for production use.
  • Design and execute evaluation strategies and benchmarks based on real-world Microsoft 365 user workflows.
  • Participate in system-level and human-in-the-loop assessments to evaluate AI performance.
  • Translate research ideas into scalable, production-ready features while ensuring high performance and responsible AI practices.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 6+ years of experience, or a Master's with 4+ years, or a Doctorate with 3+ years.
  • Equivalent experience to the specified educational and experience requirements is acceptable.
  • 5+ years of experience creating publications such as patents, libraries, or peer-reviewed academic papers.
  • 2+ years of experience as an invited speaker at conferences or other events in the research/industry community.
  • 5+ years of experience conducting research as part of a research program in academic or industry settings.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and deploying live production systems as part of a product team.
  • 3+ years of experience developing products or systems across multiple points in the cycle from ideation to shipping.
