JOB TITLE: Principal, Quality Assurance Architect
The Principal, Quality Assurance Architect drives the testing tool strategy and orchestration for the QA team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software testing tool frameworks and solutions while establishing design principles for QA automation, performance, and failover testing. The architect will develop Jenkins pipelines for auto-execution, research automation technologies for Data Analytics and Reporting applications, and optimize existing frameworks to minimize cycle times. Key technical requirements include proficiency in Java, JavaScript, VB script, and Python, alongside experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, and Protractor. The role requires expertise in CI/CD tools like GitHub and Azure DevOps, as well as SQL, Docker, and Kubernetes. This position solves complex quality objectives within the Options and Futures industry by ensuring information system products meet rigorous performance and security standards.
Design, architect, and maintain software testing tool frameworks and solutions.
Establish design principles for QA automation, performance, and failover testing.
Research automation technologies and provide statistics on return on investment.
Develop and maintain Jenkins pipelines for auto execution of test automation scripts.
Design generic workflows and debug integrations between Jira and test management tools.
Document end-to-end test business process automation strategies and training materials.
Assist production support by testing time-sensitive defects and providing functional advice.
Analyze test results and patterns to provide feedback to requirements and development teams.
What we're looking for
B.S. Degree in Computer Science, an analytical field, or equivalent practical experience required.
10+ years of experience in the IT industry required.
5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, tool architecture, and orchestration including open-source and commercial toolsets required.
Strong design and development skills in Selenium, Cucumber, Fitnesse Automation for Appian, Protractor, or ServiceNow Automated Test Framework required.
Strong design and development skills in CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps required.
Strong programming/scripting experience in Java, JavaScript, VB script, and Python required.
Experience in Agile methodology, creating automation scripts, and developing automation frameworks required.
Experience in the Options and Futures industry is preferred.
