Principal Process Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop material finishing, handling, and automated systems for manufacturing lines.
• Lead the innovation and optimization of new manufacturing concepts and procedures.
• Manage process characterization and validation to ensure stability before production release.
• Execute risk assessments and burn down activities using DRM and data-driven methods.
• Own equipment scouting, selection, qualification, and characterization processes.
• Implement yield monitoring systems and resolve root causes for identified yield issues.
• Coordinate experiments and product builds to establish robust manufacturing processes.
• Maintain all technical documentation in compliance with quality system regulations.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience, a Master's with 5 years, or a PhD with 3 years is required.
• For Bachelor's degrees earned outside the U.S., the degree must satisfy 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
• Experience with DRM/Design for Six Sigma, Lean Sigma, or Green/Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of DOE, statistical analysis methods, and data analysis tools like Minitab or JMP is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills are required.
• Experience with wafer fabrication processes is preferred.
• Experience developing a process from concept to manufacturing transfer or in high-volume environments is preferred.
• Work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
