What you'll do

Lead the evolution of middleware patterns and runtimes to standardize interoperability across multiple teams at scale.
Define and enforce versioning, deprecation, and rollout strategies to ensure system stability and minimize downstream breaks.
Establish shared observability baselines, including SLOs and error budgets, along with resilience patterns for various workloads.
Design and implement complex API versioning, lifecycle management, and performance optimization strategies.
Conduct deep-dive debugging and troubleshooting to resolve complex cross-service issues and infrastructure defects.
Create migration guides and adoption playbooks to improve developer experience and ecosystem consistency.
Provide technical leadership and coaching to junior engineers on software architecture and coding standards.
Perform system maintenance, including patching for critical vulnerabilities and automating testing to ensure service reliability.

What we're looking for

Must have 6 to 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Experience leading cross-team projects involving middleware patterns or runtimes for multi-tenant scale.
Expertise in designing, testing, and optimizing complex software systems and API integrations.
Proficiency in implementing observability standards, capacity planning, and resilience patterns.
Ability to perform performance profiling and implement secure coding practices.
Experience providing technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
Ability to manage project timelines, coordinate tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
