The Principal Network Cloud Communications role within the IT Infrastructure and Operations organization supports the Classified Solutions team. The individual will manage connectivity between air-gapped classified networks and enterprise enclaves while performing advanced administration for LAN, WAN, VPN, routing, switching, and encryption technologies. Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure for Microsoft Azure Government Secret Cloud and AWS Government Secret Cloud environments.
Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, routing, switching, and encryption technologies to ensure secure connectivity between on-premises networks and cloud platforms.
Configure and troubleshoot firewalls and security appliances to maintain enclave boundary requirements and mission availability.
Develop technical network design recommendations for complex classified architectures and present them to stakeholders and management.
Conduct capacity planning, performance analysis, and growth forecasting for classified network infrastructure and cloud-connected enclaves.
Create and maintain network standards, implementation patterns, and security documentation for compliant use of classified networks.
Resolve complex network incidents and service degradations by coordinating with cybersecurity, systems administration, and cloud teams.
Produce detailed engineering artifacts including diagrams, implementation plans, and troubleshooting guidance for classified network solutions.
What we're looking for
Must have a Master's degree with 3 years experience, Bachelor's with 5 years, Associate's with 7 years, or High School with 9 years in network engineering/administration.
Must possess a current U.S. Government Secret security clearance (or be enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program).
Must meet DoD 8140 IAT/IAM level II requirements, such as CompTIA Security+, within six months of hire.
Must have experience designing and maintaining LAN/WAN networks, including routing protocols, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
Must have experience with network security, boundary protection, change control, and documentation in regulated or classified environments.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (preferred).
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI/SAP/SAR eligibility and specific cloud or networking certifications (preferred).
