As a Principal Member of Technical Staff within the software engineering division, you will own the design and development of major components for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. What you'll do

Own the software design and development for major components of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Develop and debug software for distributed systems, operating systems, and high-availability services.
Design architectures that ensure scalability, high availability, and flexibility for future business demands.
Perform deep-dive coding and troubleshooting across the entire technology stack and low-level systems.
Create technical documentation including proposals, design specifications, architecture diagrams, and presentations.
Solve complex problems related to virtualized infrastructure and multi-tenant cloud environments.
Optimize system performance through proactive troubleshooting and tuning in a mission-critical environment.

What we're looking for

Must have 8+ years of software development experience with distributed systems in large-scale environments.
Proficiency in Java, C, or C++ is required along with experience in scripting languages like Python or Perl.
Experience working on large-scale, highly distributed services infrastructure is required.
Experience in an operational environment with mission-critical tier-one livesite servicing is required.
Must be able to communicate technical ideas effectively in writing and verbally through proposals, designs, and presentations.
Ability to design architectures for high availability, scalability, and flexibility is required.
Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and cloud-native development (preferred).
Familiarity with operating system internals, networking protocols, and multi-tenant virtualized infrastructure (preferred).
