As a Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer within the software engineering division, you will join the Compute team to design and develop major components of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. What you'll do

Own the software design and development for major components of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure.
Develop, design, and debug software applications and operating systems.
Build large-scale distributed infrastructure to support high availability and scalability.
Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and performance tuning in a mission-critical production environment.
Create technical proposals, design specifications, architecture diagrams, and presentations.
Design architectures that integrate multiple products while ensuring robust system interactions.
Develop software for compute, storage, and messaging services within the cloud infrastructure.

What we're looking for

Must have at least 4 years of software development experience with distributed systems in large-scale environments.
Proficiency in Java, C, or C++ is required along with experience in scripting languages like Python or Perl.
Experience working on large-scale, highly distributed services infrastructure is required.
Experience in an operational environment with mission-critical tier-one livesite servicing is required.
Ability to design architectures for high availability and scalability while communicating technical ideas effectively in writing and speech.
Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and cloud-native development (preferred).
Familiarity with operating system internals and networking protocols like TCP/IP and HTTP (preferred).
Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure is a plus (preferred).
