As a Principal Field Application Engineer (FAE) at Arm, you will join the Customer Engineering team to support the integration of Arm-powered datacenter SoCs and compute platforms with cloud providers, OEMs, ODMs, and semiconductor partners. Your daily tasks include guiding customers through assessment, development, and deployment phases, engaging directly with customer architects and engineers to ensure successful large-scale deployments. You will leverage your expertise in server architecture, SoCs, CPUs, memory hierarchy, interconnects, networking, and platform software while using tools like Linux, firmware, virtualization, and system software for performance analysis. Ideal candidates possess strong technical depth alongside excellent communication skills, enabling them to deliver presentations and workshops effectively. Experience with Arm Neoverse, server ecosystem standards, and familiarity with hyperscaler workloads is preferred, as you will collaborate closely with internal teams to address customer requirements and feedback.

What you'll do

  • Lead technical assessments for customers on integrating Arm-based datacenter SoCs and platforms.
  • Deliver detailed presentations and workshops to customer engineering teams and executives.
  • Manage technical objections and support design-in efforts for Arm solutions.
  • Assist in choosing silicon and setting performance expectations for Arm technology.
  • Communicate customer requirements and feedback to internal product and engineering teams.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Field Applications Engineer or Systems Engineer.
  • Solid grasp of server architecture, SoCs, CPUs, memory hierarchy, interconnects, networking, and platform software.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for multifaceted audiences.
  • Experience with Linux, firmware, virtualization, or system software, including performance analysis and workload tuning.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot silicon or SoC-based solutions in a customer environment.
