Principal Embedded Security Engineer

What you'll do

• Analyze information security regulatory requirements including NIST FIPS 140-3, NIAP Common Criteria, and NSA CNSA.
• Define product information security requirements and system designs based on regulatory standards and best practices.
• Lead the FIPS 140-3 and CSfC certification processes for StreamCaster MANET products.
• Improve general product security by adopting industry best practices and identifying gaps with external evaluation teams.
• Implement and test various security protocols and encryption algorithms such as AES, TLS, SSL, IPsec, and MACsec.
• Develop embedded software for device drivers, networking functions, services, and security features in C/C++.
• Manage the integration of cryptographic libraries and secure communication protocols within Linux-based systems.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contract requirements.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 10 years of networking products embedded software development experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with at least 14 years of networking products embedded software development experience.
• Expertise in C/C++ programming.
• Expertise in cryptographic and information security algorithms, protocols, and libraries such as AES, TLS, SSL, IPsec, MACsec, VPN, DMVPN, HMAC, and DSA.
• Demonstrated expertise with programming and usage on Linux OS.
• Proven expertise in IP networking at both layer 2 and layer 3.
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant fields.
